Ferbane is a town in Co. Offaly, the greater part in the civil parish of Wheery and a smaller part in Gallen Parish. It is also a Catholic Parish, which also includes the civil parish of Tisaran. The Catholic parish includes three chapels: Church of the Immaculate Coception, Ferbane; Church of St. Patrick and Saran, High Street (the townland of High Street was formerly known as Farranmacshane and is in the civil parish of Tisaran); and Church of St. Oliver Plunkett, Boora.
