Carols in the Square Returns

Posted by Wally O Neill on

Following the success of the inaugural event last Christmas, Carols in the Square returns this year at 6pm on Friday the 23rd in Wexford’s St Peter’s Square.

Last years event featured an impromptu performance from Wexford musicians such as Daithi and Rory Kavanagh, Katherine Atkinson, Martina Byrne, Melanie O’ Reilly, Des and Lucy Kiely, Anthony ‘the Virginian’ Bates, Robbie Agar, Ed Barker, Deirdre McGarry, Ibar Quirke, Willie Considine and many more, to a crowd of over two hundred. It was a magical night and, most importantly, money was raised for Wexford People Helping People’s Christmas Appeal.

This year we will once again be teaming up with Wexford People Helping People, with all money raised going to their continued aid programmes for those in need in Wexford, and towards their Annual Christmas Day Dinner for the homeless.
We are delighted to have the Wexford Fife and Drum Band coming on board this year, as well as an array of local talent. The Little Geek Shack will be helping out as always and Santa Claus will be on site.
