New Red Books to open in Gorey

Posted by Wally O Neill on

A new Red Books outpost is opening in Gorey town on Wednesday the 1st of March.

We are delighted to be opening the new Red Books with our friends in the existing Hawthorne & Mayblossom vintage shop at 2 Rafter Street (Beside Pettitt's), giving us the perfect blend of books and antique jewellery. Hawthorn & Mayblossom have been in existence on Rafter Street for a year now and share a similar ethos of reuse and the glorification of the old and the odd as ourselves. We are a good match.

This new Red Books will follow in the footsteps of our flagship, offering a huge selection of books, literary events and a haven for bibliophiles. We look forward to bringing our huge range of out-of-print titles, new books, local volumes and much more to Gorey, as well as new versions of our Write Club, Live Lit and Book Cabarets.

We know how important our loyal customers support has been to us since we opened the smallest bookshop in Ireland six years ago. You supported us in Bridgetown, you supported us through three killer lockdowns. You support us in Wexford, and now we hope that you’ll continue to support us in Gorey.

Red Books Gorey opens on the 1st of March.

This new store will not impact on services at Red Books Wexford, which will remain open as usual.
