Live Lit returns for Culture Night

Over 30 individual acts took part in Culture Shock, an event organised jointly by Red Books and the Little Geek Shack to coincide with Culture Night 2021. Featuring poetry, music, spoken word, art and performance acts, Culture Shocj saw the return of Live Lit to St Peter’s Square. Culture Night Returns to St Peter’s Square

An array of events at multiple locations in and around Wexford's St Peter’s Square are being planned to celebrate Culture Night next Friday. The events are being sponsored by Red Books, The Little Geek Shack, Harpers 11 and Art Souls in an effort to continue to develop the cultural and artistic merit of the area. Book launches return

We’ve had a busy month at Red Books with the launch of four new fantastic Wexford books, all launched safely in St Peter’s Square. Dean Bolger launched his eagerly awaited book of poetry, “Collection of the Night Poems”, on the 7th of August outside Red Books. Bolger has been described as one of Wexford’s next big names, a true honour in a county where you can’t throw a stone without hitting a poet. Red Books joins Ennistymon Town of Books 2021

Red Books will be one of several bookshops taking part in Irelands first live bookfair held in nearly two years. The Ennistymon Town of Books Festival takes place over the weekend of August 28th to 29th. Local booksellers at Salmon Bookshop and Banner Books will be joined for this, the tenth festival, by a dozen or so other booksellers, including Galway’s Charlie Byrnes, Wexford’s Red Books and Cork's Cooneys Bookshop, who will set up at venues across the town. Wexford’s Lockdown Books get second life

A showcase event featuring over twenty books published by Wexford writers over the three Covid lockdowns was held at Red Books in St Peter’s Square last Friday night.
