Women’s Day marked with launch of new anthology series

Wexford Women Writing Undercover is a new women's writing anthology edited by Deirdre McGarry and published by Red Books Press. It was launched via zoom (due to public health lockdown measures) on Sunday night, with readings from contributors in Ireland, the UK and the USA. Submissions now open for Wexford Bohemian issue 3

The third edition of the Wexford Bohemian, a journal of literature and culture, will be released at the end of April by Red Books Press. Submissions are now open. Issue 1 of the Bohemian was a huge success. The 90-page collection of 37 local writers and artists sold out within 24 hours. Issue 2 also sold out. It was even bigger and contained the works of 74 local creatives. Red Books Press eyes up 12 book ‘minimum' in 2021

Ireland’s newest Publishing House will bring out a minimum of twelve books in 2021. Red Books Press claims to have some incredible new writing talent ready to hit book shelves next year. “We formed the Press in August,” Wally O Neill of Red Books said. “It was always our intention to publish at least four books in 2020 under the Red Books label. Ireland’s first Virtual Book Fair to be held in Wexford

Thirty Irish Book Fairs have been cancelled this year because of Covid-19 and the public health regulations surrounding it, according to the organisers of Ireland’s first Virtual Book Fair. Second Wexford Bohemian to sell out

The 2nd issue of the Wexford Bohemian will be released on the 31st of October. We were overwhelmed with the incredible amount of talent we received for this coming issue and took in nearly 300 individual submissions.
